Terms of Use
Peel — My Digital Closet · Last updated: 27 August 2026
Peel is a wardrobe app that runs entirely on your device. You buy it once, your clothes and photos stay with you, and we never see them. These terms describe that arrangement in plain language.
1. Who these terms are between
“Peel”, “we” and “us” mean Peel (Vasilis Sirianos), the developer of the Peel app. “You” means the person using the app. By downloading or using Peel you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the app.
2. Your purchase
Peel is a one-time purchase from the App Store. There is no subscription and no recurring charge for the app as sold today. Apple processes the payment, and Apple’s terms cover the transaction — including refunds, which are requested from Apple rather than from us. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so you can reinstall Peel or install it on your other devices under the usual App Store rules at no extra cost.
3. Your licence to use Peel
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Peel on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly allows it. We keep all rights in the app itself — its software, name, logo and design.
4. Your content is yours
The photos you take, the items you catalogue and everything you build from them are entirely yours. We take no licence over them, no ownership, and no right to use them for anything. This isn’t only a promise: your content stays on your device and in your own backups, so it never reaches us in the first place. Nothing you put in Peel is published, shared or visible to anyone else. What you choose to share out of the app — an outfit picture sent to a friend, for example — is your own action, and whatever service you send it through has its own terms. One small mark to know about: pictures you export or share out of Peel carry a discreet Peel watermark in a corner, so a shared picture says where it was made. The watermark gives us no rights over your photos or your content.
5. Backups are your responsibility
Because your wardrobe lives on your device, keeping a copy of it is up to you. Peel gives you the tools — backups to your own iCloud Drive, automatic refreshes of those backups, and export to a file — but we cannot recover data for you, and we have no copy of anything. Please keep your device backed up. We are not responsible for data lost through device loss, damage, deletion of the app, deletion of backup files, or a failed restore.
6. AI and device features
Some features — automatic cutouts, garment recognition, AI Reshape and AI Try-On — rely on technology built into Apple’s operating systems, and the more advanced ones require a recent device with Apple Intelligence available. Their availability and behaviour depend on your device, your iOS version and Apple’s own changes, so we cannot guarantee that a particular feature will be available, will stay available, or will produce a particular result. These features are aids, not judgements: the recognition and the styling suggestions can be wrong, and the final call is always yours.
7. Acceptable use
Peel is for cataloguing your own wardrobe. Please don’t use it to store content that is illegal or that you have no right to keep, don’t use it as a general file-storage or file-distribution tool, don’t interfere with the app’s security or attempt to access it in automated or scripted ways, and don’t use the in-app store browser to do anything the browsed website’s own terms forbid. Since the app runs on your device and we operate no service, there is no account for us to suspend — but a use of Peel that breaks these terms ends the licence in section 3.
8. Updates and changes to the app
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting older iOS versions or devices as Apple does. We will avoid removing things you rely on without good reason, but the app you buy today is the app you are buying — future features are not promised as part of this purchase. If Peel is ever discontinued, previously purchased copies keep working on the devices they’re installed on, and your data is yours to export at any time.
9. No warranty, and the limits of our liability
Peel is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. We do not promise it will be free of bugs or interruptions, or that it will fit any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law permits, our total liability to you for anything connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data, lost time or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including, where they apply to you, mandatory consumer-protection rights, which these terms leave untouched.
10. Apple’s role
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Peel or its contents. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Peel; that is ours to give, at helpdesk@peelcloset.app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Peel. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the developer is established, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of that country. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country of residence, and it does not prevent you from bringing a claim where the law entitles you to do so.
12. Changes to these terms, and contact
If these terms change, the new version appears on this page with an updated date, and material changes will be announced in the app; continuing to use Peel after that means you accept the new version. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions are welcome at helpdesk@peelcloset.app.
